Gitanyow Fisheries Authority is led by the Gitanyow Chiefs and a guided by a Land Use Plan with enforceable legal objectives. Fisheries Authority has completed detailed enumeration of key endangered stocks for over 15 years, delivering essential data to influence stock management. There is also a comprehensive moose monitoring and permitting program as well as other initiatives aimed at monitoring climate change, contaminants, endangered species, water quality, etc.
