The Stewardship Department works to monitor and protect our natural resources on land (mammals, birds, trees, plants, medicinal plants, people), on water (mammals, fish, water, people) and air (birds). We work regionally and with the Province on Marine Areas Protection, in partnership with our hatchery, and through protocol agreements with Hakai Institute and area fishing lodges.
