Reclaiming Education: Indigenous Control of Indigenous Education The Power of Traditional Education

This report explores the many positive effects that Indigenous-led, Land-Based and Traditional Education can provide to Indigenous youth and communities. Culturally relevant Traditional Education creates spaces where Indigenous youth can find their unique identity, develop self-confidence, and positive self-perception, connect to their land and culture, learn and support language revitalization, heal and sustain positive mental health and well-being, and foster social connectedness and belonging. In the report, there is one section called " The Importance of Land & Culture for Self-Determination.”
