May Event - Storytelling & Indigenous Language in Guardian Work - Guardian's Hour with Jimmy Morgan
What is the role of storytelling in your Indigenous Guardian program? How does the use of Indigenous language influence your work as an Indigenous Guardian? How has your Indigenous Guardian program integrated Indigenous language into your program’s monitoring, research, and/or community-building practices?
Hosted by Gitanyow Lax'yip Guardian and TST facilitator, Jimmy Morgan, Guardian's Hour is a free monthly event exclusively for Indigenous Guardians (the technicians or on-the-land workers who are part of an Indigenous Guardians program) to connect and engage in conversation about their work in the field.
About this event
Guardian's Hour is a free monthly event exclusively for Indigenous Guardians (the technicians or on-the-land workers who are part of an Indigenous Guardians program) to discuss the unique elements of their work in an inclusive and confidential space. Many of the other events run by the Indigenous Guardians Technical Support Team (the TST) are open to both managers/coordinators of Guardian programs, Guardians themselves, as well as others interested in learning more. However, Guardian's Hour is designed specifically to be a space just for Guardians to connect about their field work and experiences.
